Konrad Postawa
IT specialist / Graphic designer
A computer scientist by education, a graduate of the Faculty of Computer Science and Management of the Wrocław’s University of Science and Technology. He specializes in the design and implementation of websites, as well as in the modification of existing projects. He also prepares infographics, advertisements, logos, business cards and other graphic materials for his clients – both in raster and vector versions.
For years, he has been conducting IT training in the use of programs and office packages for companies and organizations, as well as the basics of using a computer and the Internet for seniors. For his work with people 65+ in recent years, he received a distinction in the Volunteer of the Year 2014 category at the 2014 Lower Silesian Volunteer Festival Gala.
Since 2010, he has been a member of the Active Senior Foundation, with which he works to counteract the digital exclusion of seniors. For the last 10 years he has worked, among others, on the projects: “@ktywny Senior”, “Academy of Active Senior Volunteers”, “Development of competences – the engine of change” and “ProPoLab – Laboratorium Popowice”. He is also associated with the “Cities on the Internet” Association, where he has been working as a “Lighthouse Keeper” in the Digital Poland Equal Opportunities program since 2012. For a year, he has been working as a Wrocław IT Volunteer in a project run by the ISKIERKA Aid Association and the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. In the meantime, he works as a local activist implementing his ideas for improving the local environment in cooperation with the “Zgrane Pilczyce i Kozanów” group and with the Pilczyce – Kozanów – Popowice Płn. Housing Estate Council, where he was a councillor for the 2017-2021 term.
Professionally, he has been running his own business since 2016, within which he provides IT services for Prime Ministers, institutions, organizations, associations, foundations and private individuals. Creates websites in HTML5 technology using jQuery, CSS3, JavaScript. Designs websites based on WordPress, i.e. based on PHP and MySQL database. Prepares graphic designs in Photoshop, CorelDraw, GIMP and typesetting in InDesign and Scribus. Occasionally codes in C++ and ActionScript3.
